The postdoctoral research associate will be expected to plan and conduct experiments in organic and supramolecular chemistry, synthesize host-guest assemblies, characterize them, and prepare outstanding experimental and general sections for publications in high-impact journals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend and present his work in national and international meetings. The Masson group is very dynamic, therefore the incumbent will also participate in collaborative projects. The incumbent will also be given the opportunity to develop his/her own extensions to the projects, and will be trained in grant proposal writing.
Ph.D. in Chemistry by the time of appointment, with a specialization in organic chemistry
Experience in supramolecular chemistry and analytical techniques relevant to supramolecular chemistry (1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, isothermal titration calorimetry)
Co-author of at least 3 publications in high impact journals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Leadership skills, initiative, and ability to work independently
