The Technician B will provide general research support in Dr. Xuebing Wu's lab focused on RNA-centric gene regulation in mammalian cells. The research in the lab will span standard molecular biology techniques, gene expression, mammalian cell culture, genome editing, and next-generation sequencing. Organization and preparation of the research lab
Setting up and calibrating equipment and carrying out fully planned experiments
Preparation of solutions and common reagents
Interpretation of data
Keeping records of results
Perform other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory, such as ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies, chemicals and equipment
Perform other duties as required
Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience.
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
Prior lab experience with tissue culture and standard molecular biology techniques preferred.
Must successfully complete systems training requirements.
Participation in the Medical Surveillance Program.
