Department Description This position provides administrative support of research trials and related studies in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (Assistant CRC) is responsible for assisting more senior staff with several aspects of the conduct of clinical trials, including subject recruitment, screening, enrollment, scheduling, data collection, participant tracking, preparation for audits and monitor visits, study closeouts, and assisting with administrative requirements. Additional responsibilities include assisting with: IRB submissions, modifications, amendments, annual renewals, obtaining financial disclosure information from the investigators, and collection and maintenance of study regulatory documents. This position is grant funded. Required Qualifications
Experience effectively working with rules and regulations in order to with learn complex clinical research protocols ful attention and strict adherence to detail
Experience organizing tasks and set priorities for work assignments to achieve timely progress on multiple tasks simultaneously, to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity
Excellent interpersonal and written communication
Extremely high attention to detail
Ability to obtain certification in the conduct of human subjects research certified via the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program as required by UC Davis Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Ability to obtain and maintain certification of laboratory safety training
Ability to obtain and maintain certification for the shipment of dangerous goods (IATA), and others
Experience in a clinical research setting
Special RequirementsThis position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
