St. Paul’s School announces a search for the position of Computer Science, Engineering, & Robotics Teacher to begin duties in late August 2020. The primary responsibility of the teacher will be to direct, lead, and contribute to the design of the computer science curriculum, serving as program director. In the interdisciplinary environment of the Lindsay Math and Science Center, this teacher will lead the development of the computer science courses, facilitating meaningful engagement from the math and science faculty and offer support, as needed, for the school’s applied science and engineering program. The teacher will teach several courses in computer science, with the possibility of also teaching robotics and/or engineering while serving as the point person for the computer science program. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in running a computer science program at the secondary or college level. Likewise, engineering and robotics experience and familiarity with robotics competitions is valued.
In addition to teaching or administrative responsibilities, faculty at St. Paul’s School are responsible for a variety of activities typical to the boarding school environment, including advising, dormitory association, coaching, committee work and other duties. St. Paul’s School is a completely residential, co-educational secondary school in Concord, NH, affiliated with the Episcopal Church and welcoming to all faiths. As part of residential boarding school, the candidate must be interested in working and living with adolescents.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with a background in Robotics and/or Artificial Intelligence. A Master’s Degree is preferred with two or more years of experience leading a Computer Science/Engineering curriculum. We are seeking someone with a lively interest in current pedagogy and project-based education.
Experience: Familiarity programming in multiple languages. Comfort in using and supporting computer technology and engineering-lab equipment.
