Discipline: Biological Sciences. A position for a postdoctoral research scholar with molecular biology, animal genetic, and/or physiological background is available in a lab focused on polycystic kidney disease, cardiovascular and kidney disease. The successful candidate will be involved in studying the function of the role of an antiaging protein, klotho, in cardiovascular and kidney diseases, and animal model and gene therapy of polycystic kidney disease. Combined biochemical, biophysical, imaging, and animal genetic approaches will be used to answer questions. Candidates qualified for NIH training grants and fellowships will be considered.
