Southern Nazarene University is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position to lead the Title III (SIP) project entitled “Reaching the Marginalized Majority: Access and Success for Nontraditional Students.” This program is funded through the US Dept. of Education OPE and runs from October 1, 2019 through Sept. 30, 2024. The position is funded through the Title III project at 75% (30 hours weekly required for Title III and funded through SNU for 25% (10 hours weekly required for SNU instruction as assigned) and is a 12-month position.
The Project Director is responsible to lead the Title III project, coordinating hiring, budget oversight, report preparation, evaluation, and institutionalization activities; supervising Title III project staff and ensuring compliance with regulations. As faculty, the Project Director will participate in instruction as assigned by the Provost.
Establish and maintain communication procedures to ensure project congruence with institutional goals
Authorize all project expenditures; oversee project budget and reconciliation with SNU Business Office
Work with SNU/project staff to supervise bidding and renovation/equipping of targeted labs
Oversee preparation of project fiscal and progress reports to be shared with SNU and U.S. Dept. of Education
Identify/hire/supervise/evaluate project staff
Lead comprehensive project evaluation
Ensure project compliance with Title III and USDE regulations and grant terms and conditions
Coordinate institutionalization of project initiatives
