Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Administrative & Fiscal Operations (director) for Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM), this positon is primarily responsible for managing budgets and processing financial transactions. This position will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring budget balances, ensuring funds are spent appropriately as well as compiling financial information for reporting and projection purposes. Of highest priority will be the responsibility of managing the budgets for the assigned areas within SEM, calculating budget projections in association with management of funds, and creating and providing accurate budget reports. Additionally, this position provides general administrative support for the vice provost, director, and as part of a shared services team - provides support and cross coverage for other areas of SEM as needed. It is expected that this position will work closely with department directors in an effort to provide the highest levels of administrative support and fiscal stewardship possible.
Bachelors degree OR two years related work experience in bookkeeping, administrative support or office management. Experience interpreting and applying laws and regulations and develop, organize, and implement administrative projects and procedures. Experience developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
Bachelors degree in a related field. Proficient in the use of the UI Banner system and VandalWeb. Proficient in the use of ARGOS as a reporting tool. Familiar with University of Idaho Policy and Procedures. Experience independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting; coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements. Good knowledge of office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents. Experience with common business software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
