The ETL Developer is on the Data Acquisition team in the IT Health Informatics department which leads development of data assets to manage clinical applications and health analytics. The ETL Developer leads analysis, planning, development, and implementation of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) solutions for Clinical Information Systems. The ETL Developer is a principal participant in all aspects of the management of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of ETL programs. This includes formulating strategy, policy processes and identifying resources to support data extracts from a variety of clinical and financial data sources, validation and curation, database administration, and translation of data into usable, well-documented data structures, within a specialized architecture.
Advanced proficiency developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications.
Bachelors degree in computer science, clinical informatics, statistic or related field and at least five years of experience in clinical data management from various healthcare software systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL); experience with query tuning and optimization in MS-SQL Server and/or Oracle.
Comprehensive understanding of database processes, technologies, and tools including ETL Tools, particularly, SQL-Server MS SQL-Server Integration Service (SSIS).
Experience developing and using logic and flow diagrams to describe the functional processes of a system that both end-users and programmers can understand.
Advanced experience Identifying, analysing, communicating and resolving problems in a collaborative, professional manner.
Experience working in a stuctured Software Developemnt Lifecycle methodology.
Master's degree in computer science, clinical informatics, statistic or related field
Experience in Health data management in a complex health system
Experience with Epic EMR
Epic Certification in Clarity or Caboodle administration.
