The statistician will work under the direction of lead researchers to provide statistical data analysis support for a large longitudinal epidemiological study focusing on clinical, imaging and pathological investigations of aging and dementia in very elderly participants. The applicant will also be responsible for preparing data files for collaborators and will provide biostatistical consultation, analytical help, and SAS training for undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral students, and fellows involved in various collaborative research projects. Responsibilities include: statistical programming and data analysis, creating datasets, participating in weekly discussions with researchers; assisting with the preparation of research papers, abstracts, and presentations; keeping current with related research literature; and contributing to grant proposal preparation for future funding. The incumbent is responsible for managing multiple collaborative research projects and associated deadlines. The incumbent will also assist with preparing IRB and NIA progress reports.
