About the Opportunity: Northeastern is hiring for 2 Athletics Assistant Athletic Trainers. The Athletic Trainer works under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine. This position will deliver athletic training services to effectively manage all injuries/illnesses incurred by intercollegiate athletes.
Responsibilities: This includes prevention, evaluation, management, and reconditioning of athletic injuries to assure the safety and well-being of student athletes. Included is the provision of emergency medical services at intercollegiate athletics team practices/events to manage potentially catastrophic and acute athletic injuries/illnesses. In addition, direction and supervision of Sports Medicine Fellows, Physical Therapy undergraduate and graduate students as well as other clinical students and interns associated with the Sports Medicine and/or Sports Performance Department is also expected. This position is a 9-month, benefits-eligible position.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in athletic training or related field 1-3 years post-graduate work experience in an intercollegiate setting preferred Clinical teaching experienced preferred NATABOC and CPR/AED certified Eligible for Massachusetts licensure Diverse work setting experience Advanced clinical skills Strong communication, rehabilitation, and problem-solving skills
