Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for a Network Engineer. The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6 month contract assignment with possibility of an extension. Ideal candidates must have 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
DR – Performs primary network services to support DR exercises and creates the necessary ACL blocks so that exercise traffic doesn’t route into the production network.
Security – Works with Corporate security to ensure firewalls are working to block certain data.
VPN – Works with remote sites to introduce site-to-site VPN’s as well as customized Policy Based Routing (PBR’s) to reroute excess traffic to elevate WAN over utilization while investigation into increased traffic patterns can be troubleshot.
Routing – Instrumental in understanding and deploying routing both external and internal (BGP and EIGRP)
Switching – Understands LAN environments and can quickly create replacement recommendations so site networks can support necessary network requirements.
Network Management – Familiar with SolarWinds or other monitoring tools-Will be responsible for managing this environment.
Wireless – Supports Cisco Central Controller as well as works with remote facilities and prepare their network for guest, mobile, and corporate wireless access.
Migrations-Work with client sites to prepare them for site migrations, turn up a new site, disconnect a site.
Work with WAN vendor (Cisco) to add sites, disconnect sites, add capacity, troubleshooting, Moves/Adds/Changes
Solar Winds or comparable monitoring tool
Protocols:BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
Cisco Central Controller
Bachelors degree preferred
Prior applicable experience:
5+ years of Network Engineer experience
