Position Summary: This position is responsible for high-level accounting and budget management support for ensuring the fiscal integrity in the College of Natural Resources. This position will prepare and process financial transactions, provide budget review, maintenance, support, and customer service, while serving as a resource for faculty, staff, and students for interpretation and implementation of University, College, and department finance policies, rules, and procedures.
Experience: using computerized accounting systems; interpreting and applying rules, regulations and policies; using computer software applications for word processing email and spreadsheet development; providing administrative support to others in office environment; collecting analyzing and compiling information into reports.
Bachelors degree in related field OR combination of education and experience equivalent to three years of full-time experience.
Experience working with BANNER Finance and other modules. Strong independent ability to analyze, apply, explain, and confirm complex policies and procedures; strong written and oral commination skills.
Demonstrated experience researching and compiling financial information, preparing summaries and reports, and analyzing and interpreting financial information.
Experience making projections; monitoring budgets, including allocating funds, expenditures, and reconciling accounts.
Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, provide accurate and timely information, and handle complex problems courteously and efficiently.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
