Description The Information Technology Services (ITS) provides information technology (IT) services that align with and support the mission and goals of Bellevue College (BC). Technology Support Services (TSS) is a unit within ITS and is responsible for Customer Service Desk; Desktop, Laptop, and Mobile Technical Support; Classroom and Lab Support; and Technology Training. TSS delivers IT support services to students, faculty, staff and administrators through its Client Services and Classroom, Lab, and Field Services teams.
This position reports to the Classroom, Lab, and Field Services Supervisor who reports to the Director of Technology Support Services.

POSITION DUTIES Desktop Administration Create, update, configure software and Operating Systems (OS) to be used in computer labs, classrooms, faculty, and staff computers Deploy and manage new or changed software and OS Monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair as needed Update software, firmware, and security patches Develops new system and software implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures Design, configure, manage and deploy virtual desktops Support, plan and perform hardware installations for students, faculty, and staff Creates workflows for new software, OS images, and deployment processes Project management and train End Users/Technicians Plan projectsbased on customers' expectation Assess the details of the projectand implement as appropriate Trains others on the use and features of the different operating systems, applications on the various platforms, audio and video systems, video conferencing, and online meetings Educates other technicians on operating systems and software configuration, deployment procedures and policies Other Update and maintain accurate inventory of all technology equipment Technology refresh cycle by evaluating the life cycle of the software and hardware used by faculty, staff, and students Internal audit of technology assets Other Duties as Assigned
Associate's degree in technology related field Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in technology services involved in operating systems, virtual environment, hardware and software support, administration, design, configuration, testing and training Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals Ability to work well with diverse customers/clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional working experience in higher education Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with persons from diverse educational, economic, cultural backgrounds, ect. Effective analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
