PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in the setting of a national home infusion company. Aspects of infusion pharmacy and sterile compounding are covered. Learning experiences consist of interdisciplinary care coordination, patient assessment, infusion device management, care planning, therapy monitoring, medication reconciliation, patient and caregiver education, sterile compounding, inventory management, technician supervision, and quality assurance. Clinical practice surrounds infusion therapies, including parenteral nutrition, anti-infectives, inotropics, clotting factors, immune globulins, biologics, and other injectable therapies. Drug information service and corporate support activities supplement the residency experience. Additional experiences include site-specific and nationally focused projects, presentations and attendance at national professional meetings.
PhORCAS application. Eligible un-sponsored work in USA, PharmD, state licensure by September 1st. Onsite interview. Home infusion APPE or direct compounding experience preferred.
