PURPOSE OF POSITION: The employee establishes and maintains connections with our business and industry partners. The employee initiates new business contacts to develop long-term business partnerships, conducts needs assessments to identify training and developmental opportunities, identifies hiring/training needs, and develops company and industry sector workforce development/training plans. The position provides project management for the delivery of workforce development services to businesses, public sector organizations, and industry associations and consortiums; writes proposals and contracts for new and ongoing business relationships; maintains contact with current businesses to retain professional relationships and assess new training opportunities. The incumbent negotiates fee-for-service training contracts, researches grants to access training and program development funds, and develops and manages contracts.
