Position Summary: The Transportation Coordinator will coordinate all transportation matters for Yeshiva University high schools and will work together with the Executive Director to update and inform the school administration of any changes or challenges.
This is a part-time position.
Respond to parent questions and concerns regarding daily transportation. Responsible to represent the high schools to the parent body and should be able to respond to parent emails and calls and address a majority of parent inquiries
Regularly be in touch with bus companies to address routes, any adjustments that need to be made, concerns about drivers, and inform bus companies of stops that need to be added or removed
Have information about bus arrivals at MTA and Central (you will not have to be on either campus when the buses arrive but will need to review the arrival information so we can move routes earlier or later depending on that information)
Communicating to parents of bus routes when there is a change (snow days, school delays, bus running late)
Setup WhatsApp groups for bus routes with school provided cell phone number
Where relevant set up bus tracking software on school cell phone to help track and monitor buses
Guidance and assistance with late night transportation
Experience & Educational Background:
1-2 years previous experience with student transportation coordination
