Pay Range: $14.70 per hour or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary: The research technician will be in charge of laboratory operations, care and maintenance of the zebrafish, and will also perform research experiments and analyze resulting data. The research technician will help in training other lab members on certain techniques and will assist in training and supervision of undergraduate researchers.
- Bachelors degree in field of biological sciences - One year of research experience - Experience with research lab operations and organization - Experience working with zebrafish - Experience working on independent research project(s)
- Ability to execute and complete tasks on time - Experience with histological techniques, such as immunofluorescence - Experience with fluorescent microscopy, including in vivo live imaging, and image analysis - Experience with molecular biology procedures (including RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, PCR, qRT-PCR, bacterial transformation and culture, plasmid purification) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
