The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a Co-Director of the Molecular Laboratory to work in a large academic group practice setting.The ideal candidate will have experience in FISH testing, chromosomal microarray platforms for the evaluation of oncologic diseases, and molecular genetic testing, including next-gen sequencing.The candidate will also have experience in development & validation of LDTs, implementing and monitoring QA & QC, and interpretationof laboratory results in a clinical(hospital/ in-patient and clinics/ outpatient) setting.Preferences will be given to candidates who have at least two or more years' experience post-ABMGG fellowship, and worked as an acting laboratory director in high-complexity clinical molecular laboratory.

All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education. The practice offers a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development. The new faculty member will work closely with our large multi-disciplinary team of physicians from surgical oncology, medical oncology, neurosurgeons, transplant team and researchers to develop targeted molecular panels and testing for different diseases including but not limited to neuro-oncology, lymphoma and leukemia diagnostics and HLT-transplant. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
License or certification Qualified candidates should have an MD/DO and/or PhD and be ABMGG board-certified or board-eligible in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) or Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics.
