Position Summary: Incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in Molecular Pathology, providing consultative services for physicians, department leaders as well as junior colleagues. Responsible for leading the development, design, validation and implementation of new molecular technology procedures.
Rate Minimum $68,500.00 Maximum $140,200.00
Required Qualifications: Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed.Advanced skills in molecular biology and cellular biology techniques.Current CA CLS LicenseExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience in evaluating, designing, and developing new genomics-based assays including development of standard operating procedures.Experience with instrument and assay troubleshooting, testing and verification/validation.Experience with instrumentation used in molecular biology and genomic applications.Familiar with Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (FDA, EPA and OECD).Knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.Knowledgeable of Next Generation Sequencing, including sample extraction, library preparation, sequencing, data analysis and interpretation.Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or Biochemistry, or equivalent.Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or Biochemistry.
