Position Summary: The incumbent is responsible for contracting for clinical services on behalf of UC Irvine Healthcare, including hospital, physician, and ancillary agreements. The incumbent will gather, monitor and analyze financial data essential to the development of contract negotiation strategies. The incumbent will serve as a key department representative with all internal and external parties to resolve contract-related operational issues; and will maintain ongoing relationships and act as liaison to health plans, referral medical groups, and other third party payers to ensure ongoing satisfaction with UC Irvine Healthcare.
Rate Minimum $69,600.00 Maximum $124,600.00
Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organizationAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to work effectively in a constantly changing environmentBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesStrong analytical and problem solving skillsTwo or more years experience in managed care contract negotiations or related experience preferably within a hospital, medical group or health plan environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with capitation reimbursementMBA or Master's in Healthcare Management or related field
