Multiple Assistant Professor Positions in Biomedical Sciences
As part of a continued major effort to expand its research and teaching mission, the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University invites applications for tenure trackat the Assistant Professor level. Exceptional candidates who are well-funded will also be considered for a higher rank. We especially seek candidates with broad training in Pharmacology, Histology and/or Anatomy, with a demonstrated ability or potential of excellent teaching, as responsibilities will include teaching medical students.
Preference will be given to those applicants who have:
Nationally competitive research or the capability to develop such a research program in collaboration with DBMS faculty and/or
Demonstrated expertise in teaching and instructional research with a history of major responsibilities in medical education.
In particular, we encourage applications from individuals with research expertise in of the following areas of major strength within the department:
Such applicants should have a strong publication record and, preferably, extramural grant funding.
