The College of Basic and Applied Sciences, Department of Mathematical Sciences at Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#136310) in Data Science at the rank of assistant/associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2020.
This position requires a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. The successful applicant must be willing to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses and engage students (undergraduate and graduate) in research. The successful applicant will have interdisciplinary research interests, especially in the fields of predictive modeling, big data , or data science, that fit within the new Data Science program at MTSU. The Department offers both B.S. and M.S. degrees and has close ties with the Data Science Program and the Computational Sciences Ph.D program.

Terminal degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related field by the appointment date.
