Employment Status: Full-time, temporary, 'exempt,' with possibility of converting to permanent.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

CSU San Bernardino seeks a talented and creative Digital Video Producer to manage a variety of video production needs for the University's online learning environment. Under the general supervision of assistant director of Academic Technologies & Innovation, this position primary responsibilities include pre-production, directing, shooting and editing. Producing and directing multi-camera productions for live university events, and training student assistants. This position works directly with Instructional Designers, faculty, department heads and fellow video professionals to create engaging and informative video content for online classes and digital productions. The Digital Video Producer must be able to develop an exciting and innovative approach to production.
Typical Activities The functions include but are not limited to:
Manage and maintain the overall quality and execution of educational videos from project beginning to completion
Clearly communicate creative concepts to Instructional Designers, faculty and department staff.
Research new and continually evolving media technologies, styles and standards.
Demonstrate and maintain extensive understanding of all aspects of video production
Follow requirements per section 508 accessible media.
40% of time- Lead videographer for Academic Programs
Assist and support faculty by recording and editing videos directly related to instruction, both in the classroom and for online courses/programs.
Coordinate efforts in dissemination and distribution of video-based instructional materials, with special attention to the deadlines of the given clients.
Maintain and keep current the database of multimedia assessments for academic programs
25% of time- Coordinate academic multimedia production
Provide expertise and technical support for the production of instructional videos, including mini lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, and other video-based instructional assets.
Support academic needs for multimedia contents including graphics, photography and print.
Work with other ATI staff as a team to support multimedia/video related projects.
15% of time- Manage the quality and condition of multimedia equipment
Ensure that every piece of equipment necessary to complete the above workload is in sound working condition. As appropriate, inform supervisor if equipment is at risk of failing.
Evaluate emerging technologies in multimedia/video production
10% of time- Training of student assistants
Teach and train student assistants the crafts of video production
Supervise students/assistants in graphics design and photography for instructional support
10% of time- Provide assistance in video production for Convocation, Commencement, and other high profile university events as designated by the Office of the President, the Vice President for ITS, and/or the Vice President for University Advancement.
The equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in a job related field.
Possess at least four years of related professional experience with directing, filming and editing
Ability to train and manage media student assistants.
Must have experience with DSLR Workflow as well as Adobe Photoshop and Premier software
Must be able to manage priorities and meet multiple deadlines
Must communicate ideas clearly and provide creative direction as needed
Must be able to consistently lift up to 50lbs. and sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
Experience with multi-camera filming is highly preferred
