Under the general direction of the WIOA/TAA Academic Advisor, the WIOA Student Affairs Officer (SAO) is responsible for providing counseling and administrative services to Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act and Trade Adjustment Act populations and other special programs that provide funding to Continuing Education students. Must be able to help students identify Continuing Education programs that will help them reach their professional and career goals. Is responsible for implementing appropriate paper work, including student progress reports for EDD/America's Job Centers. As is dictated by special funding program agreements, provides appropriate student advising and counseling. The SAO is responsible for the registration and maintenance of accurate student records for all Continuing Education, programs including in a multi-screen student administrative and financial database. The incumbent registers students, explains enrollment policies and procedures, and directs students to the appropriate office when necessary. The incumbent also serves as a resource for academic and administrative offices on student services policies and procedures. The incumbent may be assigned special projects and other duties as necessary by the Student Services management team and executive management as well as act as a backup to other student services staff members.

Salary: Range $21.54 - 22.50 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Contract Position. Will need to travel throughout Orange County. Some evening or weekend work may be required.
