Graduate Student Coordinator / Department Assistant
Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Department Chairs, and the Graduate Student Directors, the incumbent is responsible for administrative and student related aspects of the graduate student programs in the departments of Anatomy & Neurobiology and Microbiology & Molecular Genetics. Responsibilities include financial document preparation in KFS and related bookkeeping tasks, admissions including admission systems use and coordination of itineraries, event coordination and support for programs, coordination of speakers and seminars, student fellowship application coordination, data entry and data management, preparation and submission of student academic forms, maintenance of current student and alumni electronic and paper files/records/lists, evaluation support, travel and reimbursement preparations, room scheduling; assisting with counseling students regarding program requirements and questions from time of admission through program completion, support with commencement including attendance and participation, and other duties as assigned for the graduate programs in Anatomy & Neurobiology and Microbiology & Molecular Genetics. The incumbent provides administrative support to the department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, which requires independent decision making to coordinate department administrative needs. The responsibilities include coordination of travel for outside visitors, serve as the initial contact for department, coordinate and plan department functions and coordinate the activities and itineraries for faculty recruitments. The incumbent also serves as backup for the departmental Purchasing Coordinator.

Salary: Hourly $23.24 - $27.28 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Career Position. Final candidate subject to background check.
