The Center for Business Analytics in the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for a full-time research scientist position. The research scientist will work closely with the Center's faculty, primarily supporting research and data analysis activities pertaining to the Center's various on-going projects with industry partners on topics such as health, customer, and predictive analytics. The results of these efforts are expected to generate manuscripts to be submitted to top-tier journals, presentations at industry and academic conferences, and innovative analytics curriculum additions in undergraduate and master's level courses at the McIntire School.
The Center for Business Analytics serves as a hub for many analytics-related activities within the McIntire School of Commerce, including engaging in industry-oriented AI and machine learning projects and cutting-edge research through the Predictive Analytics Lab. The Center encompasses an experienced core set of faculty actively involved in analytics and machine learning oriented research, teaching, and consulting, as well as numerous students working in data analyst positions. Furthermore, the Center's advisory board members, whom are affiliated with companies that are leaders in the analytics space, provide engagement opportunities on various projects.
