Associate Specialist – Jun Lab University of California, San Francisco Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery
The Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is now recruiting for an Associate Specialist. The appointee will work on developing a new nanotechnology that detects protein-protein interactions in live cells with high sensitivity and fidelity. The appointee will be responsible for research design, performing experiments, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess (or in process of obtaining) a Master’s of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a field related to Biomedicine is required. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicants must have obtained the degree requirement for the Specialist rank by the time of hire. A PhD degree is preferred. Candidates must have expertise in one of the following areas: nanoparticle targeting, protein purification, or gene construction.
