We are seeking a Junior Physicist for a Cancer Center in Kansas with Varian iX Linacs with OBI, Pinnacle treatment planning system and MOSAIQ R&V. We treat approximately 45 patients a day using 3D, IMRT, SBRT and SRT under the supervision of two ABR certified Radiation Oncologists. We are in the process of establishing a High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Program. Selected candidate will perform all physics/clinical tasks under the supervision of the Chief Physicist and Radiation Oncologists. Treatment planning experience with Pinnacle and/or Eclipse is preferred. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering or a related field and some clinical exposure at a minimum. New candidates entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience will be considered. Residency/Board eligibility is preferred but not required.

We have three Varian iX linacs located at three different locations. Planning is centralized at our main center. Some travel will be required.
We have a full array of physics QA tools including Sun Nuclear 1D and 3D scanners, MapCheck, ArcCheck, Profiler-2, CatPhan, MV/kV image quality phantoms, Daily QA3, DoseLab, RadCalc, MIM etc.
