Essential Functions: Use lab protocols to extract DNA and RNA from biological specimens.Qualitative and quantitative analysis of DNA and RNA using spectrophotometry and Pico-Green assay. Perform data entry and Maintaining specimen logs and databases. Cutting paraffin-embedded tumor blocks, making H&E slides and immunohistochemical staining. Additional responsibilities include ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree required. Strong organizational skills, initiative and follow-through, and must work well as part of a team. Must maintain confidentiality at all times and sign a confidentiality pledge.
