The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking an experienced academic radiologist to fill a position as the Vice Chair of Informatics. The individual in this position will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of a strategic plan for clinical informatics within Radiology and its broad integration throughout the clinical enterprise. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT professionals across the department and enterprise, including the Chief Health Information Officer, Directors of IT, and faculty in the School of Informatics and Computing. The candidate will represent the department in a wide variety of venues and on a number of IT committees.
The successful candidate will educate residents, fellows, and radiologists as well as pursue self-directed research in Imaging Informatics. Tenure track or clinical track faculty appointment available. This position will be located in Indianapolis at our Academic Health Center. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor are extremely important in this role.
High level understanding and experience with computer networking, DICOM, server architecture and security is essential. Modern programming skills are a plus. Fellowship and or professional experience in imaging informatics required. Candidates with leadership experience are desired.
Minimum requirements include DO or MD, eligible for licensure in Indiana, and radiology board certified or eligible.
