Works with Head of NA Breeding to develop core technical and organizational strategies, including change management, culture and talent development, strategic milestone planning, financial analysis and required trade-offs, and communication/ cadence and strategy with the organization;
Develop with Global and NA Leadership the Precision Breeding transformation strategy and path for the organization and ensure the correct resources, tools and training are in place to execute against the plan;
Works closely with teams within Global Breeding, Biotechnology, Biologics, Field Solutions and Global Breeding Finance Team on long range plans (LRP); defining key initiatives; developing appropriate budget requests and support information; developing annual budget for operating expense and capital; and ensures achievement of financial targets;
Prepare and deliver executive level presentations on crop strategy, strategic initiatives, project status, portfolio, and financials, etc. and works closely with various stakeholders to drive alignment and serves as a key representative of the NA Breeding Leadership team;
Lead highly technical teams including the Global Germplasm Intellectual Property and North America Quality Analytical Labs across crops Provides support to the Global Breeding business’ ability to deliver on a robust IP strategy to secure our germplasm freedom to operate globally;
Leads a team responsible for the delivery of analytical information that drives decisions within our breeding programs and commercial crop strategies;
Develop employees and people leaders to enable a continued focused on communication, cultural transformation, talent development, news skills, and succession strength of an evolving workforce.
PhD with minimum of 8 years relevant experience. MS with minimum of 12 years relevant experience. BS with minimum of 14 years relevant experience. MBA is preferred;
4 or more years of relevant experience including technology and/or business strategy development; and driving innovation adoption, previous leadership experience in leading and managing direct reports or a project team required;
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in operationalizing strategies and assessing execution, resource allocation, and organizational risk;
Proven success in leadership through leading a small team and influencing and developing effective relationship and partnership inside and outside of own organization to achieve business goals;
Experience interfacing with global organization or international experience;
Strong cross-cultural sensitivity;
Excellent communication skills.
