California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) invites applications for lecturer positions in the Department of International Business and Logistics. Successful candidates will teach one or more sections of the following classes, depending on their expertise and availability.
COURSES: Managerial Accounting (2 sections, 3 units each)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach listed course in support of the baccalaureate program
Schedule and conduct office hours
Complete all grading assessments as required in a timely manner per syllabus and departmental requirements
Candidates should also have the ability to teach and assess courses in one or more business-related functions relating to the departments core business courses such as (but not limited to): Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Marketing
Fulfill institutional responsibilities associated with the major including (but not limited to): program and course assessment
Actively demonstrate a commitment to student engagement, action-research, experiential learning, and project-based learning
Master's degree in accounting or business related field or completion by the time of appointment
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated ability in the use of various teaching techniques that ensure both student engagement and active learning
Strong collaboration and exceptional communication (oral, written, and verbal) skills
High degree of professionalism
Five or more years of business industry experience
Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level
Pedagogical versatility with demonstrated ability in the use of teaching techniques that ensure student engagement
Experience with learning management systems
SALARY COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with the education, qualifications and experience of the individual.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Typical classroom and office environment are in a two-story building with elevator access.
