The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin on July 1, 2020. The primary focus of this faculty member will be the field of sport analytics – both the performance side and the business side. Candidates should be proficient in data science methods, including statistical learning and programming such as R, Python, Tableau, SQL, Excel, or other comparable computational and data scraping platforms.
Assistant professors are expected to teach undergraduate courses and perform research in their specialized area. Candidates should have a promising research agenda and strong analytical and empirical skills as well as aspire to the highest standards of scholarship, professional activity, and commitment to undergraduate education. Candidates must currently have a Ph.D. or complete the Ph.D. by July 1, 2020.
