The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Cellular and Structural Biology. The Research Assistant will be involved in two projects that revolve around the Nuclear Pore Complex and its functions. Will be involved with functional characterization of the mRNA export in the divergent eukaryote Trypanosoma brucei and delimiting the role of the human Nuclear Pore Complex in communication between the nucleus and the mitochondrion.
Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in Biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology preferred. Experience in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology basic laboratory work a must. Basic skills in manipulation of microorganisms, experience in protein expression and purification a plus.
