The Emphysema COPD Research Center (ECRC) is focused on the investigation of fundamental biologic concepts in advanced chronic obstructive lung disease, particularly emphysema. The program utilizes advanced tools in molecular, biochemical, physiologic, and radiographic assessment for research investigations which are predominantly based in clinical medicine.
The Emphysema COPD Research Center is recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator to an internationally recognized research group currently participating in multiple NIH and industry-sponsored clinical trials. This individual will be responsible for subject recruitment, scheduling, conducting subject interviews, maintaining subject records, data entry, answering queries, and monitoring subject medical status. This position requires knowledge in preparing and submitting site evaluation questionnaires and obtaining and maintaining regulatory documents at the study site. Strong communication skills are required.
BS, RN or CCRC preferred. Individuals with additional medical training and relevant experience will be considered. Two years in clinical research setting with phlebotomy and specimen processing favorable. Experience with University paperwork/documents as well as IRB submissions, minimal research experience, and excellent computer skills. Willingness to perform phlebotomy is required.
