Applicants must have earned their Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field and have demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, research, and/or industry experience in the following areas: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Video and Graphics, Distributed and Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing and Networking, Computer Architecture, and Database Management Systems.
Responsibilities: The department’s faculty members are expected to teach, supervise, and advise students in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, and to establish a successful research program related to their field of interest. Additionally, faculty members will participate in department, college, and university committee and other service assignments. Candidate must demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through inclusive course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Starting Date: August 13, 2020 Eligibility: Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
