Using clinical knowledge and expertise, manages the overall clinical operations of all modalities within the Imaging Services department to ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction. Responsible for managing clinical quality assurance and safety programs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Leads and participates in process improvement initiatives to ensure optimal quality of patient exams and effective department operations. Manages employee productivity, competence, morale and utilization including hiring, training, evaluating performance, allocating resources, monitoring and counseling staff and initiating progressive discipline as necessary. Stays abreast and seeks opportunities to further develop clinical competency and knowledge of evolving Imaging technology within the profession.
