South Sound Radiology in Olympia, WA has an exciting opportunity for a full time Sonographer to join our dynamic team! This is a great opportunity for those that thrive in a fast-paced environment. South Sound Radiology is an Imaging Center of Radia Inc. PS which is the largest Physician owned and operated Radiology group. Currently Radia is serving over 30 hospital and clinic partners through Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
This position performs a variety of ultrasound procedures for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Many decisions require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The sonographer must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate for all ages of patients served.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular and small parts
Use independent judgment and problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care
Responsible for preliminary assessments, summarizing diagnostic data and communicating this information with diagnostic images, orally and in writing to the interpreting physician
Prepare patient for examination by explaining the procedure and obtaining pertinent clinical history through direct questioning and review of patient’s prior records
Provide individualized, safe and efficient services to patients
Applies process improvement to improve operations and ensure seamless coordination of services and patient care
Collaborates with physicians, other clinicians and staff to identify and implement leading practice protocols, standards and guidelines
Participates in Radia-wide teams as necessary

Graduation from 2-4 year C.A.H.E.A. accredited ultrasound program
Registered Sonographer or must obtain appropriate registry within 18 months of hire.
Minimum 1 year experience as ultrasound technologist.
