The Microfabrication and Characterization Facility (MCF) at the Rutgers Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering seeks a talented and enthusiastic postdoctoral associate with experience in micro and nanofabrication, characterization and cleanroom operations. MCF is a shared and centralized facility of the School of Engineering serving Rutgers as well as external collaborators and industrial users.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A doctoral degree with a significant experience in operation of some or the majority of the following instrumentations, processes and techniques: -Processes: PECVD, LPCVD, MOCVD, ALD, RIE, Diffusion Furnaces, E-Beam, Thermal Evaporator, RTA, Sputter, Mask Aligner, Lithography, Dicing and Wire Bonding. -Characterization: Ellipsometry, Spectrophotometry, 4-point-probe, Profilometer, Film Metric, Current-Voltage measurement, Series and Shunt resistance analysis, TLM, Capacitance-Voltage measurement, SEM and SIMS. -Wet Chemistry: Processes involving NH3, HCL, HNO3, H2O2, HF, H2SO4, H3PO4, TMAH, KOH, NH4OH, Isopropanol, Acetone and Methanol.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
Flexibility in working hours as and when activities and events run outside of normal business hours and out of the office setting.
Willing to cooperate and work collaboratively with the team to achieve the department and university objectives.
Ability to learn things and develop intellectual and professional skills with minimum supervision.
Ability to work in cleanroom, chemical, measurement and characterization environments involving compressed gases, vacuum, acids, alkaline, solvents and vacuum pump oils.
Postdoctoral work experiences in research and operation are added advantages.
Knowledge of developing applications using PSpice, Matlab and Labview to control or interface with test instrumentation.
