The Short-Term Casual (Research Support-Non Technical) under direction of the Principal Investigator Dr. Nadine Chahine, will participate in various research projects spanning sample analysis for biomechanical and other techniques, including data and image analysis.
Provide assistance with preparation and testing of specimens for biomechanical characterization, including data analysis and report generation
Conduct, design and troubleshoot an image analysis pipeline for data sets collected using imaging flow cytometry
Schedule, organize and report on the status of research activities and meet with faculty supervisor on a regular basis to maintain ongoing communication
Perform any additional related duties as assigned
Undergraduate or M.S. level student in Biomedical Engineering or related majors
Proficiency in Matlab, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience and fluency with statistics, Cell Profiler and Machine Learning Algorithms preferred
Experience with general laboratory techniques
Organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work independently, ability to balance multiple tasks and demands
Strong decision-making and independent problem solving skills
