The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Molecular Vertebrate Embryology. The Research Assistant will work as part of a team focused on human embryonic stem cell research on a variety of projects. Responsibilities include stem cell culturing, cloning, employing molecular biology techniques, microscopy imaging, and data analysis.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in biology or biochemistry preferred. Must have outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in order to carry out complex experiments with attention to detail. Must demonstrate accuracy in record keeping, the ability to organize, and analyze and calculate data. Must possess excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively in a collaborative work environment. Must be amenable to changing work schedules that prioritize experiments and occasionally include weekend hours.
