This is a newly created role that will see you play an instrumental part in helping senior management both craft and deliver the Group's ongoing growth strategy. This could be in the form of direct acquisitions, strategic investments and/or alliances as well as Joint Venture agreements.
Specific duties will entail:
Build and nurture a pipeline of growth avenues as listed above
Critically assess opportunities & present recommendations to Senior Management and/or the Board
Lead commercial due diligence & negotiation activities to bring these opportunities to fruition
The capacity to appropriately shape agreements to ensure internal & external stakeholder alignment
Candidates are likely to have a minimum of 10 years commercial experience including having gained initial exposure to M&A or Strategy Consulting, then moving into an in-house Corporate Development/Ventures team or an investing role with a well-established, reputable Private Equity or Venture Capital fund. In addition, you will have exceptional networking, interpersonal and relationship management skills and be someone who is both creative and driven but who can also listen and engage.
