Applicants are invited for a Postdoctoral Associate position in Dr. Sara Hamilton Hart’s laboratory within the Center for Immunology and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Applicants are expected to be highly motivated and have good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively among various laboratory groups within the Center for Immunology. Candidates will undertake ongoing research focused on understanding CD8 T cell biology and contributions to protective immunity in the context of various infectious models in mice and humans. In addition to research, participation in local seminars, journal clubs, and data club groups is also expected.
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree by start date and should have a record of success in scientific research (as evidenced in publications). Applicants are expected to have excellent cellular immunology skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with mouse models of malaria and its cerebral manifestations are highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with experience, according to NIH guidelines.
