The person hired at this position will be involved in basic biomedical research on the role of bioactive lipids in disease pathology.
Will perform experiments independently and will participate in the overall experimental design, trouble shouting, data analyses, and interpretation.
Need strong background in cell and molecular biology is required. Candidates with prior hands-on experience in protein/DNA analyses, Biochemistry, Cell biology, and/or imaging will be given preferred consideration. Excellence in research should be evident by peer-reviewed publications documenting the type of experiments the candidate had participated in the past.
In addition to performing experiments, this person will serve the function of Lab Manager and participate in training junior staff, some administrative work related to maintaining the lab compliance with animal protocols, biological safety, waste disposal etc.
Participation in manuscript preparation and grant submission is anticipated.
Basic lab skills desired.
