The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Research Specialist for research studies for the Pediatric Imaging Research Center.
The incumbent will:
Maintain, develop, and customize the existing PIRC research database and computational server for multiple research projects
Collaborate on multiple projects or studies and actively participate in ongoing staff development
Interact with staff from all disciplines working at the center and across therapeutic areas in the field
Take a lead role in managing and developing the existing research database and infrastructure
Provide critical QA/QC of all data collected and provide feedback to research team members
Collaborate with staff to develop novel methodologies in software to deliver quantitative analyses of imaging data
Participate in the design of imaging study protocols, including the definition of analysis plans and imaging parameters, to ensure proper experimental design and appropriate analysis of the imaging data
Bachelor's Degree in a Health Sciences or Computer Science field is preferred. Additional experience in a research or related clinical field is desired. Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirement. Experience in MRI and image analysis is desired. Knowledge of database management and data science is desired.
