Work in the Department of Lab Medicine and Pathology to develop standardized procedures for obtaining clinical study databases from a variety of sources from multi-center epidemiological studies; perform statistical analysis with these databases using SAS or R; work with study investigators to discuss study hypothesis and analytical to address specific hypothesis; implement analytical strategies and create customized reports for evaluation by the study investigator/supervisor; implement bioinformatics analytical pipeline for clinical and research applications; manage datasets of various complexities from large traditional study datasets with epidemiological data to DNA/RNA sequencing datasets and other complex biomarker datasets; distributing appropriate datasets to individuals for statistical analysis; evaluate integrity of analysis performed by students and researchers; develop standardized procedures for regularly and securely downloading study datasets from various sources and store study data in secure servers at the University of Minnesota; participate in manuscript preparation and submission to professional peer reviewed journals.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health or Biological Sciences and two years’ experience in health care industry performing clinical data statistical research. Four years of experience required with a non-related bachelor's degree.
Experience integrating and analyzing clinical research data using SAS and R
Experience creating clinical study database management system in SAS
Experience performing statistical analysis of clinical data using correlation, odds ratio and repeated measure assessment
Experience retrieving, manipulating and using SAS macros to process and analyze data from multiple sources
Experience providing integrated datasets and statistical analysis support for clinical studies
