The Department of Human Ecology at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, invites applications for a full-time, 10-month non-tenure track (NTT) faculty position at the Assistant Teaching Professor level.
This position will contribute to the continued development and implementation of academic programs focused on Sustainability. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Sustainability (1:374:299), Practicum in Sustainability (S11:374:399) and other relevant courses. S/he will also be expected to contribute to the continued development and implementation of the academic Minor in Sustainability and will work with other faculty members to expand capacity for collaborative academic program development in environmental, urban, and societal sustainability.
The successful candidate will serve an active role in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and activities at Rutgers-NB; will represent SEBS on the Rutgers University Committee for Sustainability; and will contribute to the planning and programming of RU Sustainable Symposia at Rutgers-New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden. The successful candidate will also serve as a bridge between academia, industry, and governmental, and non-governmental organizations, create new opportunities, and build relationships and partnerships to further sustainability goals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ph.D. required. Prior teaching experience in relevant courses strongly preferred.
