Serve as the administrative assistant for the Chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Director of the Center for Chemical and Structural Biology. Assist in performing administrative details, evaluate priorities, coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, assess and respond to needs, prepare and maintain confidential documents. Handle highly confidential correspondence and reports. Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, and respective department activities. Provide assistance for arranging literature packets, manage professional memberships/subscriptions and purchase some materials for the lab.
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals, excellent interpersonal skills, and a customer service orientation. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in an academic setting or executive level support.
