Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Director of Alumnae/i Engagement, The Associate Director for Alumnae/i Engagement will have primary responsibility for the oversight and management of approximately 30 domestic and international Vassar Clubs and the College's newly launched online mentoring and networking platform, VassarNet.
Vassar Club Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, set goals with, and support volunteers who develop and execute programming for approximately 30 regional Vassar Clubs in the U.S. and abroad.
Plan the annual Club Summit for volunteer leaders and periodically update the Vassar Club Handbook.
Staff and support the Clubs Committee of the Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC) Board of Directors.
Ensure that club programming is in alignment with College priorities and support volunteers with the administrative execution of event logistics.
Plan and execute periodic events in strategically important Vassar Club areas when volunteers are not able to do so.
Attend club events when strategically important and feasible.
Work in close collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Regional and International Programs to ensure alignment and coordination between college-sponsored and club-sponsored events.
Supervise one support staff member in consort with the Senior Associate Director for Alumnae/i Education and Affinity Programs.
Convene regular meetings with the VassarNet Working Group (Career Development Office, Alumnae/i Engagement, Communications Advisory Committee, Communications Office and other campus partners) to ensure goals are being set, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are being identified, and that the platform is being fully utilized to achieve college priorities.
Drive and manage the Alumnae/i Engagement Team's objectives for the platform.
Spearhead periodic evaluation of KPIs and report out to senior management.
Ensure the Working Group is focused on the development of an ongoing marketing strategy, roles for platform administrators, evaluation of KPIs, and communication with platform members.
Attend periodic PeopleGrove conferences and manage the College's relationship with the assigned PG Customer Success Manager.
Qualifications Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and three to five years of progressively responsible alumni relations or career development experience desired, preferably in a liberal arts college setting. Excellent organizational, communications, and program planning skills. Strong customer-service orientation. Ability to manage technology platforms to facilitate information sharing, networking, and career advancement for students and alumnae/i. Proven success in volunteer management and an ability to work effectively with a multigenerational population. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to function effectively and flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive team-oriented environment.
