As the need for laboratory medicine services grows across MSK, we are thrilled announce a need at the 53 rd Street location, which will be a critical part of our Laboratory Medicine offerings. We are currently seeking a LT II with experience in Chemistry and Hematology.
As an LT II,
Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections, with minimal supervision, as assigned.
Review test orders and verify accuracy of corresponding specimens.
Prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer, with minimal supervision.
Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.
Contribute to upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.
Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratorys Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform routine equipment maintenance.
Additionally, a Technologist II will:
Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations
Provide direction, training, and feedback on routine laboratory procedures, as assigned
Bachelor's degree (Biology, Chemistry, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences) required, with at least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
Previous experience in Chemistry and Hematology required.
NY State Clinical Labs license required; ASCP certification preferred.
37.5 hours per week
Hours will fall between 630am and 630pm with occasional coverage to 930p.
